JESUS the True Vine

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.” John 15:1‭-‬3

Have you ever pruned vegetation, foliage, underbrush, vines?

There is a whole lot of clearing and cleaning necessary to get rid of old dead sticks and brush and dry branches. And you will need a fire to burn the whole massive pile of undergrowth you pull out and branches you cut back and prune and clean and clear away. You need to do all this to get rid of the old dead brush and make way for new growth and new life and in order to make way for beauty and life and fruit for the new year, the new chapter, the new growing season.

There is a whole lot of cleaning and clearing, pruning and cutting away needed. And the WORD has already been spoken. Let the WORD, the Living Logos, the True Vine grow in your heart and do His work, cutting and trimming though it may be. Let Him work in you both to will and to do according to the Father’s, the Good Gardener’s good pleasure.
