WTW January 25-31
Isaiah 60-66
Isaiah has 66 chapters and so is often rightly considered as a sort of condensed presentation of the 66 books of the Bible. In this way, each chapter of Isaiah can be compared with and matched up to the corresponding book of the Bible. Doing this can reveal many noteworthy features of God’s WORD.
Following the daily reading plan for the end of this month, we find ourselves digging deeply in the final 7 chapters of Isaiah. These align with the final 7 books of the Bible. This in turn lends itself to a worthwhile consideration of looking at this relationship between these chapters of Isaiah and the parallel books of the Bible. Here is an overview for easy reference and for further consideration.
Isaiah 60 – 1 Peter
Isaiah 61 – 2 Peter
Isaiah 62 – 1 John
Isaiah 63 – 2 John
Isaiah 64 – 3 John
Isaiah 65 – Jude
Isaiah 66 – Revelation
