Isaiah 15
A prophecy against Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night!
Isaiah 15:1
Who is this man, Isaiah?
We can often glean so much more about how to live, and indeed in our actual living, through walking with the Godly.
A close runner up can sometimes be a character study of a Godly one.
So, who is this man, Isaiah?
This is what comes to mind first as I read the opening words of this chapter. I cannot help imagine him writing these words. What strange words to our modern ears. Indeed, essentially meaningless words to most hearers.
Let us study. We certainly have so much in the biblical history and the historical record, and beyond that we actually have an overwhelming abundance of sources on this man, this prophet of God. As McGee says, this prince of prophets.
What was going on the night Isaiah wrote these words here?
What is going on with you, with me this very night?
Certainly, we are living in the midst of the miracle of our lives. Let us walk circumspectly as those running a race.
Let us live in the light of that Great Day of Yahweh.
