AVRM
We are continuing to dig deeper into Ephesians this week. At the same time, we are also discussing augmented/virtual reality ministry (AVRM). Some of our dearest friends and family still hold any and all new technology at arms length, if not as taboo or worse. Nevertheless, one way or another, technology is more readily available, more versatile and more significantly impacting all of our daily and weekly lives.
Take a few minutes this morning or whenever you have a few moments to read, listen, watch or engage below about AVRM. For some of you, this may be the first time hearing about certain specific ideas of integrating technology and ministry to the level of AVR.

What’s next, AI counselors and virtual confessionals? I can see some real benefits of this technology. But what about koinonia? Is it possible with these?

I was truly disturbed hearing about these things for the first time yesterday, particularly the way they were presented. Looking into the array of options directly myself, however, it is actually clear that we have all already begun using technology in new ways, at least bordering around the edges of AVRM. With this acknowledgement, it also becomes possible to look more objectively at ways to engage in ministry including koininia with each other as we continue reaching this generation in which God has placed us.
