Youth For Christ

The youth were a significant part of our Lapeer Park summer evangelism kickoff.  Our youngest team evangelist, age 14, is already turning heads with his genuine love for Christ and deep love for his fellow youth, his muslim peers. My own son, age 16, was drawn to go see this other young man sharing his faith with a fairly large group of about 10 boys and youth about his age and younger. As soon as my son heard his younger fellow Christ follower sharing his faith so boldly, he also immediately joined near the basketball court. He also began sharing the good news that Jesus is the Word of God made flesh to bring salvation to sinful man.

The world says to watch yourself in sharing such a good message in such a public way.

Jesus says let the children come to me and do not hinder them.

God says do good to all and preach the good news to every creature.

God’s people ask, should we obey God or man?

So, what about you? Who will you obey? Will you obey God, or will you obey man?

Our kickoff team of 10

Can you find all 10?!

Don’t cheat!

Wait, there are only 9! I thought there were 10 of us there. Where’s…? Wait, what?! Look out there by the basketball courts…!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for such an amazing kickoff to our park evangelism! Thank you all for praying fervently and for being a part of this vital outreach ministry. Many of us have already verbally shared so many little and big recollections and anecdotes from Monday night all day yesterday in various groups, and many more have already been significantly impacted by these testimonies from your ministry! Please share this message with your youth and young people as well because they were a major part of our kickoff Monday night.

Would each of you post a short (or long) written, audio or video clip of at least one highlight from Monday that may even be shared on social media? Let’s use this blog to share deeply meaningful testimonies and things like these and to track, journal and share these sorts of encouraging and noteworthy accounts along our journey together this summer.

This blog is great for sharing among our ministry networks so feel free to post any specific things you would like to share here, and then also, please share anything that others may or may not want to share via social media.

Some of us are not active on social media but we hear that there may still be a few people out there somewhere in this wide world who do, maybe in North Korea or somewhere…?…North Sentinel Island…?… somewhere in parts north 😎

Anyway, please take at least a few minutes to pray again for those you remember from Monday night, and then share with us here so we can continue praying together also for all these and to encourage each other and spread the word which will encourage, challenge and spur on even more true followers of Christ to become active in this koinonia partnership with the evangel!

Thank you so much for your partnership

Thinking of how every day is full of miracles and stories, significant experiences and encounters. Anyone who has ever journaled or written any sort of write up about any experience or event realizes this fascinating reality which is this. There are so many amazing stories that make up every day, every experience, every encounter. As soon as you start thinking of this, you can easily reflect on and learn more about how significant our for gospel accounts are because even from 1 encounter with even just 2 or 3 people, you are guaranteed to have multiple various collections of recollections. Then, if you have an event like we all do all the time, whether for an hour or two or three hours like this past Monday, and you increase the numbers to 5 and 10 and 20 and 30 to 40 and 50, now you have immediately countless recollections and potential variations on all the anecdotes and significance.

And considering all our brewing write ups and audio/video journalings all of us are sharing and continuing to develop and share… all these are without any miraculous signs or healings like my favorite John 9 man.

So imagine, you add healings and other miraculous signs and wonders into the mix, now you can immediately agree with John that if all these amazing encounters and names and individual stories and life experiences were written down, the whole world could not contain all the books that would be written!

    So let’s get started! 😎
