Quiet Reflection
Elders. Seniors. The elders. Patriarchs & matriarchs. The grands. Grandparents, great grandparents & great great grandparents. Men & women of God. Men of renown. Saints of old.

Take a moment, an honest moment, take a moment just to think clearly. Recognize the importance of right understanding, beginning with the right understanding of words, every word. Recognize how many countless words are misunderstood, often not correctly understood at all. Now think about that word elder. Many ways it is used and understood remain good and sound. Yet immediately we can recognize and acknowledge that the word means what it says, elder.
There is so much wisdom in God’s WORD, so much in plain view and much more hidden in pain sight with even more tucked away in the folds, creases and corners of dark, unopened and unread pages.
Now imagine.
What a blessing it is to hear from Godly saints who have served the LORD JESUS and are loving and serving Him even more now in their advanced years.
The scripture says, “Rise in the presence of the aged. (Leviticus 19)
Imagine having elders.
Community elders.
Wise elders in our Christian communities giving wisdom to the younger generations. Elders sharing testimonies.
Imagine.
Imagine if at least once a season the true elders were given a voice, a well planned and dynamic service during which the voices and deeds of love could be on rich display in our Christian services and communities of worship in the great assembly. Elders sharing simple and profound words of wisdom as sages, saints of old sharing even as that great saint and Elder John the beloved shared deeply in his elder years, shared the most profound and simple truth of God’s great Agape Love.
JESUS loves the little children.
Sage wisdom declared by sages.
Elders.
