There Was Another

There was another in the fire

Another in the Fire
by Hillsong UNITED

There’s a grace when the heart is under fire
Another way when the walls are closing in
And when I look at the space between
Where I used to be and this reckoning
I know I will never be alone

There was another in the fire
Standing next to me
There was another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
Of how I’ve been set free
There is a cross that bears the burden
Where another died for me
There is another in the fire

All my debt left for dead beneath the waters
I’m no longer a slave to my sin anymore
And should I fall in the space between
What remains of me and this reckoning
Either way I won’t bow
To the things of this world
And I know I will never be alone

There is another in the fire
Standing next to me
There is another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
What power set me free
There is a grave that holds no body
And now that power lives in me

There is another in the fire
Oh-oh
There is another in the fire
Oh-oh
There is another in the fire
Woah-oh
There is another in the fire
Oh-oh (I can see)

I can see the light in the darkness
As the darkness bows to Him
I can hear the roar in the heavens
As the space between wears thin
I can feel the ground shake beneath us
As the prison walls cave in
Nothing stands between us
Nothing stands between us

There is no other name
But the name that is Jesus
He who was and still is
And will be through it all
So come what may in the space between
All the things unseen
And this reckoning
And I know I will never be alone (I know, come on)
And I know I will never be alone

There’ll be another in the fire
Standing next to me
There’ll be another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
How good You’ve been to me
I’ll count the joy come every battle
‘Cause I know that’s where You’ll be

And I can see the light in the darkness
As the darkness bows to Him
I can hear the roar in the heavens
As the space between wears thin
I can feel the ground shake beneath us
As the prison walls cave in
Nothing stands between us
Nothing stands between us

There’ll be another in the fire
Standing next to me
There’ll be another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
How good You’ve been to me
I’ll count the joy come every battle
‘Cause I know that’s where You’ll be

I’ll count the joy come every battle
‘Cause I know that’s where You’ll be
I’ll count the joy come every battle
‘Cause I know that’s where You’ll be

I’ll count the joy come every battle
‘Cause I know that’s where You’ll be
I’ll count the joy come every battle
‘Cause I know that’s where You’ll be

Isaiah 54

“Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says Yahweh.

For your Maker is your husband—Yahweh of Armies is his name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. Yahweh will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God. “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says Yahweh your Redeemer.

“To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says Yahweh, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:1‭, ‬5‭-‬10

Perfect Peace

26 February
Isaiah 26

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3

As one untimely born, so this post is as one untimely posted. Looking back at posts to find the one from the day for Isaiah 26, I find that as sometimes occurs on days with minimal interaction from others, posts extend to other topics. This was no less the case on 26 February, and so there is no previous mention of this well known and powerful passage. Here, that is rectified.

So, nevertheless, this came powerfully to our attention yesterday in late conversation. A Brother was sharing back about a day in the past few weeks which, come to think of it, could very well have been that very day itself. As he shared yesterday, it was after a time in prayer together that day, the LORD granted him an uncommon, serene and peaceful sleep which is very rare for him. This struck him as directly related to our time in prayer together that day, and this is the testimony he shared just last night.

Immediately, as he shared, the verse above came into my heart. Not knowing at all where it was, I looked it up and found it to be from the chapter 26 days earlier: a day itself given to testimonies, as now so clearly seen. We proceeded to read fully half the chapter reflecting deeply together in the rest, the strength, the peace which is ours in Christ alone.

Glimpse

I can see them come running from the the distance to the edge of the lush, green hill, laughing and playing, brushing aside the thick, tall grass.

They are free now. Truly free. And great adventures await them. But first there will be journeys to the foothills, wading into the clear and cool mountain springs and babbling brooks. There will be an eternity for all the epic adventures and joys unspeakable. Joyous excursions into the blue forests. They are young again and full of joy. Full of life.

Magnificent birds fly overhead soaring on the powerful wind as creatures of all sorts can be seen milling and moving toward the edges of the valley below.

The children go running off again and their laughter echoes through the canyon of the ages.

Sold

Isaiah 52

For this is what Yahweh says: “You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.” Isaiah 52:3

To begin digging into this chapter, the very first thing to do is begin reading at chapter 50.

This is what Yahweh says: “Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce with which I sent her away? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Because of your sins you were sold; because of your transgressions your mother was sent away. Isaiah 50:1

What is Yahweh speaking to you through His WORD today?

Stir Up The Gifts!

Daily reminders

Will we do our part?

Stir up the gifts!

Not only those given to us

Also those given to US!

One brother asked:
Is discipleship a calling?

RA replied:

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

I believe that would fall under teacher and sub gift of exhortation (Peter and Timothy).

Paul had at least 4 of the “top” 5 life-giftings, and a host of the “sub-gifts” (imparted, rather than career gifts).

Pretty cool, huh?

What about you?

Are you making your calling and election sure today? Are you stirring up the gifts? Are you exhorting others to do the same? What are your gifts and calling? Are you sure? Are you walking in them fully today?

Stir up the gifts!

Calling & Vision

New Seasons Ministry
Calling & Vision

Here is our ministry calling & vision:

Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him—you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:1‭-‬5

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. Psalms 1:1‭-‬3

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all. Acts 4:32‭-‬33

Isaiah 51

“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek Yahweh: Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn; look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many. “Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation: Instruction will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations. My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation (Yeshua) is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm. The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread. For I am Yahweh your God, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—Yahweh Tsabaot is his name. I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand—I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth, and who say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’ ” This is what your Lord Yahweh says, your God, who defends his people: “See, I have taken out of your hand the cup that made you stagger; from that cup, the goblet of my wrath, you will never drink again. Isaiah 51:1‭-‬2‭, ‬4‭-‬5‭, ‬14‭-‬16‭, ‬22
