Rev 18
Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. Revelation 18:20-24

Hey Hank!
Whatcha lookin’ for?
Hey Hank!
What’d ya come back for?
Hank said,
I just came to say:
‘Thank you, Lord
For healing me today!’
You trust in God
Trust also in me.
He did not entrust himself to any man.
Be imitators of God therefore as dearly loved children.
Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
Qoheleth l’Mishlei
The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one shepherd. Ecclesiastes 12:11 NIV
The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. Ecclesiastes 12:11 KJV
He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.” When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. Matthew 13:52-53 NIV
Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. Matthew 13:52-53 KJV

Parables & Paroimia
Jesus used this PAROIMIA, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them. John 10:6
Also John 16:25 & 29
(Note: To my knowledge, John does not use the word parable anywhere.)
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Of them the PAROIMIA are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” 2 Peter 2:1, 22

Also, mark this date 1/10/21 as the date when I just for the first time am following up on a connection from one of the brothers (perhaps RJ or AB) who mentioned the Amplified to me in passing a few weeks ago. I’ve known of and occasionally referred to the Amplified for years but have never really even thought to look into it. I’ve even used OJB! This may have been right up my alley all along. Amplified Bible
The Amplified Bible is a Literal Equivalent translation that, by using synonyms and definitions, both explains and expands the meaning of words in the text by placing amplification in parentheses, brackets, and after key words. This unique system of translation allows the reader to more completely and clearly grasp the meaning as it was understood in the original languages. Additionally, amplifications may provide further theological, historical, and other details for a better understanding of the text.
