Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. John 21:25

Prayer on the Mountain
Jesus’ prayer and anguish was on the mountain before crossing to the Garden of Gethsemane
He went from
Bethany
Jerusalem
Mount of Olives to pray

Kidron Valley
Winter Stream (cheimarros)
Garden of Gethsemane

As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night. Simon Peter asked him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied, “Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later.” Peter asked, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times! John 13:30, 36-38
—–
Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow. “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.” Luke 22:39-46

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:1-6
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. John 15:1
“All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. John 16:1
After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. John 17:1
Having said these things, Jesus left with His disciples and went across the ravine of the Kidron. There was a garden there, which He and His disciples entered. John 18:1
Qahal & Kaleó
This Way is all about the Call.
For The Sake of the Call
Qahal is the Hebrew word for assembly, congregation. Those called together.
Qoheleth is the related Hebrew word for teacher. The one who calls out.
Kaleó is the koine Greek word for call. The word means to summon.
Ekklesia is the koine Greek word for assembly, congregation. From the words ek– meaning out and kaleó. Those who are called out.
In John 14-16, we come to the koine Greek word paraklétos, meaning advocate, attorney. From the words para– meaning beside and again kaleó. One who is called to stand beside, to aid, support and defend.
But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. John 16:7
—–
The words of the Teacher (Qoheleth), son of David, King in Jerusalem. Ecclesiastes 1:1
“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. John 13:13
While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, “Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David? David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: “ ‘The LORD (YHWH) said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet.” ’ Mark 12:35-36

Who Do They Say I Am?
Paroimia 2: Parresia & Paroimia
“All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.”
—–
Jesus went on to say, “In a little while (micron) you will see me no more, and then after a little while (μικρὸν) you will see me.”
At this, some of his disciples said to one another, “What does he mean by saying, ‘In a little while (micron) you will see me no more, and then after a little while (micron) you will see me,’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?” They kept asking, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’ (micron)? We don’t understand what he is saying.”
—–
“Though I have been speaking figuratively (paroimia), a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”
Then Jesus’ disciples said, “Now you are speaking clearly (parrésia) and without figures of speech (paroimia). Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God.”
“Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:1-3, 16-18, 25-33
Manna
There is a unique and powerful rejuvenation which we experience when we discover and do the unique work which the LORD has purposed for us, called us to and guided us into as we follow Him. We come upon this thing, this unexplained thing, simply following Him in His WORD. We come upon it simply taking Him at His WORD and diligently allowing the WORD to transform our hearts and minds through obedience. We come to it simply accepting what He says, simply through the Truth as taught, and accepting no other.
Walking in this way, we discover manna. What is it?
The only way you can know is by discovering it in this same way. Listening closely to what He actually says, simply doing what He says to do, walking in His WORD and in accordance with His Way, we too discover this amazing manna.
Walking in His Way always involves relationships, people, contacts of some sort not only with others but in ways and in matters of relationships people have. As we R.E.A.D. and follow JESUS, we will live and talk as He does, and this will always reach deeply into our own hearts and lives and immediately reach deeply into others hearts and lives also, always into relationships and relating to koinonia. This is manna.

LCS Manna
When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”
—–
He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” “I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.”
—–
Meanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”
—–
“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
—–
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
—–
And because of his words many more became believers.

What He Said
Some true and sincere brothers say
They cannot see advocating separation when brothers are in what is called a marriage in which there is at least one spouse with a living covenant spouse, aka LCS.
Jesus said
“The man you are with now is not your husband.”
That is what He said.
Let’s stick with JESUS.

John 15
JESUS the True Vine
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.” John 15:1-3
Clean
Greek: καθαίρει, transliterated kathairei means both prune and clean
Have you ever pruned vegetation, foliage, underbrush, vines?
There is a whole lot of clearing and cleaning necessary to get rid of old dead sticks and brush and dry branches. And you will need a fire to burn the whole massive pile of undergrowth you pull out and branches you cut back and prune and clean and clear away. You need to do all this to get rid of the old dead brush and make way for new growth and new life and in order to make way for beauty and life and fruit for the new year, the new chapter, the new growing season.
There is a whole lot of cleaning and clearing, pruning and cutting away needed. And the WORD has already been spoken. Let the WORD, the Living Logos, the True Vine grow in your heart and do His work, cutting and trimming though it may be. Let Him work in you both to will and to do according to the Father’s, the Good Gardener’s good pleasure.

For further R.E.A.D.ing
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the ekklesia. Ephesians 5:25-27, 32
