Isaiah 29

Woe to you, Ariel, Ariel, the city where David settled! Add year to year and let your cycle of festivals go on.
Isaiah 29:1

Dear Father,

Draw Your lost people to Yourself. Remove their hearts of stone and give them hearts that You may coax and incline to Your own. Open eyes that are blind that they may see and ears that they may hear and be saved and transformed to be as You created us to be, one with You as You and the Son are one.

In JESUS Name,

Amen.

For you this whole vision is nothing but words sealed in a scroll. And if you give the scroll to someone who can read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I can’t; it is sealed.” Or if you give the scroll to someone who cannot read, and say, “Read this, please,” they will answer, “I don’t know how to read.”
Isaiah 29:11‭-‬12

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Matthew 23:37

Isaiah 28

And these also stagger from wine and reel from beer: Priests and prophets stagger from beer and are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions.
Isaiah 28:7

The LORD God makes it clear time and time again that He and He alone gives clear direction to His people, to His children. Do not trust a man. Trust in the LORD, and do good. So shalt thou dwell in the land and be fed.

The WORD of the LORD.

Can You Handle The Truth?

WTW 2021

Isaiah 25

Have you read Isaiah 25 today?

Before you do take this quick quiz.

1. What do you think of when you read Isaiah 25?

Post your answer below and share it in your WTW group or platform contacts.

Many chapters in the Bible are readily known by many students of God’s WORD for the main idea, such as Leviticus 19, Psalm 34, Amos 5 etc.

What about Isaiah 25?

For that matter, you have heard that there have been people who have memorized entire books of the Bible.

Even if we do not do that, one good discipline is to begin learning the main message of the chapters of the Bible.

As we begin to look at Isaiah 25 today, it came to mind to continue this study of Isaiah with special attention to the Hebrew, even as we have been doing and gradually digging deeper, aiming to understand more of God’s WORD to us.

As we look into the Hebrew, the first thing we discover is how little we know, and the second thing is how there are many who do not know and love God.

So, here is a second quick question and today’s main quiz.

2. Can you handle the truth?

Post your answer below and share it in your WTW group or platform contacts.

As we dig deeper and aim to understand the Hebrew, we inevitably come across others who read the scriptures who do not believe as we do. And so the question is, can you study and listen, BOTH without being offended AND without being misled, rather learning from those who know more than you in various areas AND yet always remaining steadfast in all things pertaining to God’s WORD and the Truth?

Solid food is for the mature, and this involves learning to distinguish good from evil rather than being unaware.

It may be worthwhile to become familiar with the understanding of those more knowledgeable of God’s WORD in order to strengthen and deepen our own understanding of and love for the Truth Himself.

Isaiah 24

They raise their voices, they shout for joy; from the west they acclaim Yahweh’s majesty. Therefore in the east give glory to Yahweh; exalt the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea. From the ends of the earth we hear singing: “Glory to the Righteous One.” Isaiah 24:14-16a

”He Reigns’

It’s the song of the redeemed
Rising from the African plain
It’s the song of the forgiven
Drowning out the Amazon rain
The song of Asian believers
Filled with God’s holy fire
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir

It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns

Let it rise about the four winds
Caught up in the heavenly sound
Let praises echo from the towers of cathedrals
To the faithful gathered underground
Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation
Some were meant to persist
Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples
None rings truer than this

And all the powers of darkness
Tremble at what they’ve just heard
‘Cause all the powers of darkness
Can’t drown out a single word

When all God’s children sing out
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
All God’s people singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns

And then we continue reading Isaiah:

But I said, “I waste away, I waste away! Woe to me! The treacherous betray! With treachery the treacherous betray!”
Terror and pit and snare await you, people of the earth. Whoever flees at the sound of terror will fall into a pit; whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare. The floodgates of the heavens are opened, the foundations of the earth shake. The earth is broken up, the earth is split asunder, the earth is violently shaken. The earth reels like a drunkard, it sways like a hut in the wind; so heavy upon it is the guilt of its rebellion that it falls—never to rise again. In that day Yahweh will punish the powers in the heavens above and the kings on the earth below. They will be herded together like prisoners bound in a dungeon; they will be shut up in prison and be punished after many days. The moon will be dismayed, the sun ashamed; for Yahweh Almighty will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before its elders—with great glory.
Isaiah 24:16b-‬23

Set Apart

Isaiah 23

At the end of seventy years, Yahweh will deal with Tyre. She will return to her lucrative prostitution and will ply her trade with all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. Yet her profit and her earnings will be set apart for Yahweh; they will not be stored up or hoarded. Her profits will go to those who live before Yahweh, for abundant food and fine clothes.
Isaiah 23:17‭-‬18

The world continues her prostitution but Yahweh still owns everything. He does not impose holiness on those who reject Him but He most certainly will do as He wills because all things are His.

Tyre would return to her prostitution but He would no longer allow her to enrich herself as before.

The wealth of the wicked city was in 70 years going to be laid up for the righteous

Qodesh being translated means holy, and that meaning includes set apart.

So her merchandise and her gain will be set apart [qodesh] for Yahweh.

Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed. A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment.

The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
Proverbs 13:21‭-‬23‭, ‬25

Looters Loot

A dire vision has been shown to me: The traitor betrays, the looter takes loot. Elam, attack! Media, lay siege! I will bring to an end all the groaning she caused.
Isaiah 21:2

Do not be surprised. These things should not surprise us. He told us ahead of time. He told us plainly. And He often even gives us clear times.

As a servant bound by contract would count it.

But now the Lord says: “Within three years, as a servant bound by contract would count them, Moab’s splendor and all her many people will be despised, and her survivors will be very few and feeble.”
Isaiah 16:14

This is what the Lord says to me: “Within one year, as a servant bound by contract would count it, all the splendor of Kedar will come to an end.
Isaiah 21:16
